Default RE: 95 Coupe Motor Swap Question

where do you live? If you are in california, then smog will be an issue. if not, then you would be better off with a japanese motor. they start with a little more power, and around 30-50k miles, all for less money. As for parts, you will need motor, trans, ecu, axles, mounts, shift linkage, and you should change the timing belt, water pump, and clutch while the motor is out. also, budget in a little more money for little things like hose clamps, hoses, sensors, spark plugs, wires, oil ( for both motor and trans) and other things that will pop up. a bigger radiator is not necessary, but neither is DOHC VTEC. Riiiight.if your car is vtec already, then a lot of work is done for you. the wiring is the hardest part. if you know anyone who is familiar with car audio wiring, enlist their help. All in all, if it goes smoothly, it can be done in a day. Good luck, and enjoy
