Default how hard would this tranny swap be?

I have a 96 civic DX. It grinds when you shift into second, unless you let the rpms drop and then shift. I do have a 96 Si tranny that the guy gave to me. he didnt have the money to do the swap and bought a newer car so i got this car cheap. Is this going to be a direct swap or what will i need to buy before doing this swap?

yea, b series tranny won't work with d series engine.

EDIT: just realized, you said 96 Si, which does not exist. what is the real year/model the tranny is from?

it may be from Canada if thats the case i think they had an SI back then but i'm not 100 percent and i'm pretty sure it wasn't a b16.
