Tow hooks
Hello Y'all, Ive been a member here for a while but im having some trouble posting on my computer anywhere but here. I recently bought some tow hooks for my 95 civic ex. http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/a...black-copy.jpg
Does anyone know how to install them? I got them because my car is lowered, and I trailer it Quite often to and from the track out here in MO. It is getting real old hooking up chains under it to strap her down, but i can't find a solid looking place to mount them. Any thoughts? RE: Tow hooks
should be able to find a place under the front sub-frame. Do you plan on towing with it or just as tie down points?

RE: Tow hooks
Possibly both tow, and tie down, but finding room is posing the problem between the intercooler, and radiator mounts.

RE: Tow hooks
for the front
http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1742522 http://shaylene.mypicgallery.com/lcj...-106_large.jpg gena have to cut/drill part of the front bumper member if u want to do it right. for the rear, just bolt it to ur current tow hook http://img208.imageshack.us/img208/4...28copiauy3.jpg |
RE: Tow hooks
On the front I have no room between the intercooler and the bumper. Any Suggestions?

RE: Tow hooks
sell the front hook and get a tow strap, bolt it to the top part of the bumper member and route the strap in a way that works for u.

RE: Tow hooks
i don't think i have ever seen that done before. Does it stay put and hold up to the elements? I don't suppose you would know strength? Well worth checking out though, thank you CIVICEXRACER.
