Default How can I lift my '89 RealTime 4WD Civic Wagon?

I'm not talking BigFoot, here! lol
I just want another inch or two of clearance, mainly in the rear.
I've been told that new springs would probably do it, but I'd like a little more than stock height.
It has a really optimistic trailer hitch that covers the muffler really well, but wants to scrape, especially if there are passengers in the back.
I'll probably spring for some good shocks also, but that wouldn't give me any more lift, would it?
Any suggestions will be appreciated!

(What's with all the commas?)

yeah those shocks might be really old, so new springs would raise the car back up

You could put coilovers on it. They are adjustable, so you could adjust them to your exact preference.

Good luck finding coilovers to RAISE a Civic though. Your best bet would be to look online for lift/rally springs. If you can't find anything right for you, look at local spring/suspension shops. Many can build coils to your specs.

You may need some other parts too, like camber kits, long-travel shocks, custom shockmounts, high-angle CV joints, etc.

Or you could go really cheap and buy some little screw things that go on your shocks (i beleive they are called knuckles) You can raise or lower the car by compressing the springs.
