Mild stereo, save gas money! I was driving a 85 Jeep Cj7 and it got 14-15 mpgs. I drive around 100+ everyday for work.

Thats a beast... I like it. Always liked Jeeps, is that a 3" lift? Did you sell it?

Some mods will also help mpg as well as performance. Like an air intake system or even a drop in K&N filter will help. As well as synthetic oil and an exhaust system. They're not all loud and raspy. But it's cool if you keep it stock, not telling you that you need to do this just my .02

Thanks, I've done almost all the work myself- including paint.
It's 4" superlift springs,33" BFG's,4.2 liter w/ a weber Carb, auto tranny. It was completely stock- to the point I could hardly drive it! Steering gear box was bad and not bolted on tight.
I've had it for 4-5 years now.I still got it too. I've regeared it also. It did have 2.73's stock. When I went to the 33's MAN did my acceleration go in the crapper. Changed to 3.54's and what a difference.

As for the Civic, it'll get stereo stuff first. It came with a JVC headunit. LHC -300 or something like that. I have NO CLUE what kind of speakers are in the doors- stock I guess. I got a CHEAP set for the rears. Lightning Audio 6x9's for time being. I've got a Rockford Sub 12 or 10 don't recall. been sitting in the garage for a year or more. But it'll be a start. got to get a amp or 2 going first. I'd like to find a 5 channel, but they ain't cheap around here. I'll work on the MPG's down the road, once the stereo is kickin.........
