So I bought an ebay short shifter and installed it. It's a single bend. I installed it the way the stock one was in, with the shifter bending towards the rear of the car. Only thing that seems odd is that the shifter is tilted towards the passenger side a little bit, as opposed to the stock shifter being tilted towards the driver side. I tried flipping the shifter around, with it bent towards the dash, and tilted towards the driver side, but this way it is too close to the dash, so I moved it back to the first way. It's fine and all, I just thought it was strange that it tilts towards the passenger side.
Do you guys think this is the wrong shifter and is made for Right Hand Drive? I kinda doubt it because it's just a generic ebay shifter, and most of their customers are most likely left hand drive.
yea, i thought so. if it snaps i'll just buy a nice one. I just wanted to save some money and I heard people say they're fine. I think i'll put my stock shifter in the trunk or the storage compartments in case I ever have a problem.
mine tilts slightly to the left as well. thats what i get for spending like 15 bucks on a shifter.lol but it functions properly and dramatically ruduced the throw inbetween gears. plus i have had mine for a little over a year and no problems yet
