Im thinking about getting an 01 Civic but have heard that the auto transmissions on them are terrible and that Honda has even acknowledged the problem. Is this true? I would like to know if its just for the HX or for all the different types. Does the 2002 Civics have the same problems? I really want one but if I have to deal with bad transmission I might look into another car. Thanks a lot for the help!
Honda automatic transmissions are pretty weak in general. They don't hold up that great. That's why they haven't acknowledged the problem. If they did, they'd never be able to sell the automatics. Get a manual for reliability and better performance.
