Default hard to shift in/out of park

so my dad drives a 97 honda civic hb and it shifts really hard out and into park. we pulled the center counsel appart the other day and oiled the linkage and shifter mechanism. it was okay for a couple days and its back to the same old. we checked the shift lock and the interlock out and everything is fine. any help would be great.
