92 civic tranny ?'s

i have a 92 civic, automatic tranny and i have noticed that when i accelerate in every gear if shifts fine most of the time. the problem i noticed is that when im slowing down and when the car gets into first gear it jerks just a little, and it revs a little when it jerks then goes back down. it seems like its a little harder to downshift into first. it hard shifts sometimes in the higher gears but nothing really out of the norm, just downshifting into first when im slowing down. is this something i can fix without getting a new tranny...maybe a transmission flush? or is this something i just have to deal with? thanks for help.

Yea, try getting the transmission flushed and refilled and see if that solves your problems. That's probably the best place to start narrowing down this problem.

You don't shift through the gear selector while driving do you? That's not good for the transmission and will cause it to wear way more quickly.
