Default SE Model???

Hey, am looking into buying a 2000 Civic SE. I am looking around at aftermarket mods, and am noticing only parts marked for the DX, LX, CX, EX, Si. Does the SE closely match any of these models? Which model should I buy for? Also, SE model does not have tachometer on the guage cluster...Would the guage clusters from other models (eg. the LX) bolt into my SE?

Thanks in advance

SE=Special Edition?
Yes the gauge clusters are interchangeable - the EX and Si clusters come with tachs, but the redlines are different since they bothcame witha different VTEC motor.

I think this model was discussed in a different thread and it's something with the Canadian model of the DX? Don't hold me to it. The DX and LX don't have tachs, but does yours have power windows?

No, it does not have power windows... Just power door locks... Would anyone happen to know what the redline is for the SE? Also, does the gauge cluster have to be from a 2000? Or is any gauge cluster from the same generation (96-00)work?

Thanks again.

Well, I know they changed the backlight for the cluster in 99 I think.

I'm almost 100%positive that the LX DOES have tachs. The dx is the one that does not have them.

Canadian spec SE has roll-em windows, power locks (with remote) and an auto trans (at least my parents old SE was spec'd out that way). Yes dash clusters are interchangeable. I have a Canadian EX, which DOES have a tach, but it is NOT the v-tec motor. The redline is just over 6000. I believe if you are looking for engine bolt-ons, look for anything for DX and you should be ok. US DX= Canadian EX. US EX = Canadian Si.
