Default A/C problem!!

Hi, This is my first post on this site. I have an A/C or fan problem with my 2002 civic. I was driving normally and the air and fan just shut off, like a fuse went. I checked the fuses and all are ok. If i start the car and turn on the air, the fan will come on for a few seconds and switch off. This only happens the first time you try to turn it on, after that nothing. Any ideas?? Dont want to take it to the dealer and spens big bucks.

Does the radiator fan run? Does the compressor clutch engage?

I got a code 12 doing the self diagnosis. I believe it means the power transistor module is gone. Also there has been bits of filter coming out of my vents. I will check both and see what happens. Thank you very much for your help.

The OBD/CEL trouble code system is different from the HVAC trouble code system.
