a lot of people will say you can get your wheels powdercoated. dont. the powdercoating shops use an oven to "cook" the powdercoat on, but due to the extreme cost of the proper ovens for this, fluctuations in temperature in the ovens they use can weaken the metals in the wheels, causing them to shatter when put under high loads, ie, high speed cornering, you know, the worst time possible for a wheel to shatter. ill post some pics, but i have to find them, and im going to bed.

Yes, there's a "Replacement for Displacement". Its called Volumetric Efficiency.
a buddy i got in chicago, well a burb somewhere had some parts powdercoated and the parts came out lookin just like chrome. they looked pretty good. im waitin to see if he has any probs with them then i think i might take my wheels in and get powdercoated with that chrome stuff. depends on the price though.
i really think the wheels need to be a diff color or everything just looks like 1 big blob of the same color

i saw that chrome powder coating done on a bike frame, on that show 'biker build off' on discovery, it looked really good. i had a friend with konig caffeine's he had his civic painted burgundy, and matched the stars only anf left the rim polished looked bad ass. , its easy to buy gunmetal, black, and white rims.
