Hey all.

New Honda owner tomorrow (hopefully).  Got my eye on a 2004 Civic LX coupe, but can't decide if I want it in black or silver.  Also, I'd like to change the stock steel wheels with something in a 16" range.  I saw a few rim styles online (Silver Kazera KZ-S for example) that I think would look nice.  Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Brian

I personally have a blk EK coupe and I like the color alot. It tends to get a little dirty but if you wash it every week or two then nothing to worry abt.

I also like the wheels you mentioned (Kazera KZ-S) and I have considered to put them in my choices of wheels to get coz they do look nice on my EK coupe. Btw Blong, you can see which wheel will look good on your ride by going to www.tirerack.com. I tend to like the spoke wheels on Civic coupes coz you can't go wrong with the overall appearance.

Thanks for your input !!  I just plan on using the car as my commuter vehicle with some style.Wink  I stopped at a rim/tire shop and they quoted me 750.00 installed with everything for 16" spoke rims and nitto tires. Don't remember the brand of rims...also don't know if that price is fair or high. If I go that route, I'll just save the 15" factory rims/tires for winter.  I guess I should make up my mind about the car color since the special financing ends tomorrow.

DONT BUY A BLACK CAR!!!!!!!  I have a black coupe and it shows EVERYTHING!!!!  Looks great when its freshly washed but every last little bit of dust/pollen shows up on the car after 20 min.  Id go silver....it hides dust alot more.  As for the wheels...check out some rota wheels...they dont cost alot

I know what you mean about black cars.....I owned a black 93 Saturn SC2 that looked great after detailing.  I like silver because a nice dressed tire will stand out in the wheel well and contrast nicely, but the black looks nice on the dealer's lot....tough choice...iI have a garage and wash my cars at least once a week in the spring and summer.  I was trying to find some web sites online that may have some Honda owners cars to get ideas of rims and body colors.

Thanks for the help.

check out tirerack.com  you can go through and put different wheels on your car to see how they look.  as for color....remember how easily  rock chips showed up in that black paint?  black is def a sexy color when clean but i would change the color of mine in a second if i could...have to do that someday once motor is done

Eventually I would like to change the color of my car to a crimson red. I like to show you a pic of it, but the guy over at JDMCivic forum may not approve of me using it here. Guess I can show you the link instead. Since I want a carbon fiber hood and these don't go well with my existing color, I will have to change the it eventually.

http://www.jdmcivic.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadi d=41726 <-- link to the color I like to put on my EK... Edit: Oktane over at this forum said the color was red OEM (Honda color code I imagine).

Personally, I like Silver. It looks good even when dirty.

I like black a lot, as well. Only problem is that it does show everything. It sort of depends on where you live. If you live somewhere that is dusty or rainy I would avoid a black car unless you want to wash it often.

The only thing I don't like about silver is that it's really popular right now. I lost count of how many silver Civics there are where I live. I've actually had people say, "hey, I saw you last night drive by house, why didn't you stop?".
