anyway, not really a race, but i thought i'd share this.

on the way home today, i pull off of westminster onto seal beach blvd, and i'm not in the lane i need to be in. next to me (in the lane i want) is an old b***h in a new white corolla. i go to speed up to pass her, and she speeds up. i don't feel like screwing around, so i slow down to get behind her and SHE SLOWS DOWN. so i'm like "WTF b***h?". we end up at the light in front of seizure world, and i figure i'll just pass her after the light since she probably isn't going to take off fast.

and she does it again. i speed up, she speeds up. i slow down, she slows down, only now someone is tailgating her so my only shot is front entry. another red light is coming up, and there are only two more lights until i have to turn.

so now i'm kinda pissed. i collect myself a little and pull up to the light all 2F2F like, stopping really quick right on the crosswalk line. she gets there a split second later. i'm thinking "so you wanna play? let's see what your POS auto corolla has." i go into full drag race mode. when the opposite light goes yellow, i rev up to 3k. the second the light turns green, i drop the clutch, chirp a little, and as soon as i hook up, i floor it.

anyway, i have never done that in this car before. i have done it in all of my other cars. i was NEVER thrown back in my seat like that in anything i've ever owned until now. i was doing 40 and shifting into 2nd as i crossed the line on the other side of the intersection. i didn't even look back until i was doing 60 (speed limits 50) and ready to finally switch lanes.

and this time, she was still sitting at the light.

sometimes, you just can't win for winning, either.
