i suggest the b18c. you could take out a home equity loan, but i would reccomend against it, much cheaper to build poor mans type r. go with b18c block, b16 head with p&p job, and ctr cam. you will like it.

You will be happy with the outcome if you end up doing the swap. I personally did not do one, but i helped my buddy do one he did in his 93 civic, a lot of money put into that car from that swap, so be prepaired to put a lot of time and money into ur car. Tight fit but the outcome is crazy, we kept up with a m3 the day we got it out, so just keep in mind that it is a lot of time, and money.

unless you plan on making your Civic a full drag car, i would not suggest putting an H22a in it. its just not practical at all for daily driving. you will have to do ALOT of custom fabrication to get it in there if you do plan on putting it in there.

Have you ever driven an h22 civic? How exactly are they not good for daily driving? No, seriously. Humor me.
Importercr ~ The H22a is an extremely fun motor. You can actually feel a little bit of torque, it has several advantages over the B series, such as a closed lower deck and others, and you can run low 14's right out of the swap. I eat mustangs for breakfast, and If I get the jump I can hang with LS-1's for a bit. Despite what people want you to believe, the engine is not bad for turbochargers as long as you make sure to prepare it right and know its weaknesses. For instance there is a turbocharged H22 CRX at my local strip running low 10s. If you do decide to do the swap, make sure you get the JDM spec ;)

I Have a 92 h22 eg.  I did all the work myself and I use it as much as my prelude.  It is a little heavy but I have H&R drop springs and Im running tires that are to big on the car N E way.  The only time I scrape is when my 300lb friend is in the car and I hit a hard corner.  I did all the work myself and I didn't have that much trouble with the swap.    Here are my dailies.

welcome to the forums... in the future, please try to refrain from bringing three year old threads back to life.  None of the users that participated in this thread are even active anymore.  There's plenty of more current threads you could have posted this in.

Can a mod lock this please?
