Default ECU Swap

I have a 96 civic sohc vtec, could I swap out the ecu to help with hp say for a b16 99 si ecu, or is this pointless? I also have headers, no cat, 2 1/4" piping and air intake (if it matters)

Default RE: ECU Swap

Cant swap a ECU for a DOHC into a SOHC. But there is many options for a SOHC engine as far as ECU that will give you more HP.
