Default probably a sad question but...

i have 98 ex manual... i kno its not a vtec, but what kind of engine do i have? i dont think its like a b16 or anything like that.

sup man welcome to HCF. anyways sorry to bust on your head but you are v-tec. you most likely have a d16y8 motor which is v-tec and its a sohc your thinking of the 99-01 civic si which is a 2 gen b16.

aight thanx alot guys. most vtecs that ive seen actually say it on the engine and mine didnt thas why i didnt think i had one. plus i figured i my car would haul alot more ass ha. i posted this in tha ECU section, but yall think i should get like a venom 400 or A-AFC? peace

well from people i heard the venom is pretty good. umm yeh the d6y8 valve covers dont say v-tec lol but if your a honda fan you know its v-tec by the locations of the spark plugs if there in the front then the head is v-tec if the back its not

oh haha thanx bro... i jus got my baby like 2 months ago so im JUST gettin into my civics, i still got plenty of homework to do, but yea thanx alot for the info man i appreciate it

oh hell ya man! ha, im gonna supe that baby up. all the extra money im gettin is goin into that sheit. my old hometown has a lot of farmers and hicks that trash on it, so once i get some more power runnin thru it im gonna make em eat **** ha.
