Default subwoofer(s)...decisions decisions

hey all,
tell me about your subs! i have a hatchback (2000), and want some bass...i am thinking 1 12", but maybe a 10", i had two 12's in my old car (intrepid) and it was more than enough, and i dont think i need that much in my little hatch! but i want to know what would sound good
also, i am thinking of getting "JL" subs, i have heard that they are really good, but some other suggestions would be helpful
thanks

Ok in my opinion JL Audio is the best way to go it is all I ever use I will never go back to anything else. If you want a great sounding sub go with a W7. They are expensive but its worth it.

yea jl is pretty good, and a w7 will shake your sh it up haha. right now i got 2 10" kicker comp vrs, and i love em. i like 10s cuz they hit faster if you into rock or metal. when i had my 2 12" infinities, it literally shook my car apart man, so thas why i went with these 10s. but i guess its just a preferencial decision, how much bass you like, how fast you want em to hit, etc.

I like JL, and the Alpine Type Rs. I have a 12" RF HX2, which has been replaced by the new P2, and its great. sounds good, and has lasted for a couple of years with no problems.
