Default Computer Chip

I'm new to the forum, is there any computer chip available for a 1999 Civic EX Coupe, that would give me 10 to 15+ horsepower without changing the air intake or exhaust and could be installed by just plugging it in without having to cut into any of the wiring and having to solder the connections? I've read some of the high performance websites that claim you can get up to 25 horsepower with their chip and it can be installed in as little as 10 minutes, this sounds a little to good to be true!!! Thanks for any help in advance!!!!!

dont bother. a chip will make very little, if any power, it could actually hurt it. that is unless it is a properly selected one and you have some mods that would benefit from re-tuning. all in all, its not worth it.

thats really the only reason you should think about getting a chip.

yeah, but youre still better off saving up and getting a piggy-back or stand-alone and getting it tuned on a dyno.

Yeah but you have to get someone to re-map the ECU to get deent results! Get an exhaust, manifold and filter first. It'll sound good and you'll notice the power increase.
