Default RE: HELP.

you could get it fixed, but then the rest of the motor will still have 200K on it. if you search around enough you can find a used sohc civic engine with less than 60-80k on it for a few hundred bucks, depending on the model of engine. your car, if its a vx, has the 92hp d15z1, or if it is the dx or lx, it is the d15b7 @102hp. you can upgrade to a 1.6 liter out of a 96 up that will put out 106hp or a sohc vtec engine that will put out about 125hp. the newer and more powerful the motor is, the more it will cost you. then if you are serious, you can put in a b-series dohc motor for real power, though they can set you back anywhere from 2000 to 4000+ for a whole swap. it all depends on how much you want to spend and what you want out of the car.

Default RE: HELP.

definately a motor swap... doesnt have to be a b16 or b18 or anything like that... a decent D-series will do the trick.
