Default removing timing gear cover

Hey if i remove the stock white cover so the gears are shown. Will that hurt it at all to leave it off. I have seen different cars like that. Will it squeel if it rains out cuz of the water coming up or anything. Please let me know any down falls of it

Default RE: removing timing gear cover

no,it should be fine. keep the covers though, they have the timing marks on them, so you cant change the ignition timing w/o them. i had mine off of my dx motor for years, with no problem. except the damn timing.
