i used to work in a car hifi shop and we used to sell at least 5 alpinr to every other model. i even have a alpine my self which is my pride and joy.
spec of unit:
Alpine CDA-9813R
60w X 4
MP3/CD/WMA
R.D.S
Dedicated subwoofer out
AUX IN
2 X AUX OUT
Motorised face panel
dab control (optional extra)
remote
.....and the list goes on!
give it a go

hope that helped!

i gotta agree with everyone else here....i got a full alpine system consisting of a Cd-A7894 head unit and two 12" Type R's
alpine is not made for the beginner i dont think tho. im a huge audiophile so i use every single option. so the options are very in depth and not the most user friendly. so it might take some getting used to. some may agrue that alpine is falling off...but i say screw that u wont find better amplified head units from anyone else

Alpine is not top of the line but one of the better mid high recievers. But they do lack in the speaker and amp department. But you definetly cant go worng with Alpine baby!

You CANNOT go wrong with Alpine! I've owned nothing but Alpine's and never had any problems. I currently have the CDA 9833 installed in my Civic and I love it. I can't wait to get the KCA-420i so I can hookup my iPod. Alpine might not be as user friendly as other brands, but it's defintely one of the most powerful and respected in the industry.
