1994 Honda Civic Brake Calipers

My son has a 1994 Civic Ex and it had 14 inch steel wheels.

His friend sold him a set of 13 inch nice looking wheels and tires and we installed them on the back. When we tried to install the front ones we found
that the brake calipers would not allow us to get the front wheels on. My question is can we put 13inch brake calipers from a 1994 Honda with 13 inch wheels on the front? Are they interchangeable or would we be better off selling the 13 inch wheels and getting 14 inch wheel on it?

He is financially handicapped and wants to do this as cheaply as possible. Please help because this car is torn apart in my driveway awaiting my
help!!

13's? that thing must look like a Hyundai. I would suggest selling the 13's and finding some 14's. Do you still have the steelies? Try to trade someone both sets for something that he likes.

I know that's not much help as far as the caliper fitment but I would rather have big brakes than shiny wheels.

Agreed,
Stick with the bigger brakes.
Better your son look bad and stop then look good wrapped around a tree.
