I thought we had one of these somewhere...

Yeah, here: Tips and Tricks

Doesn't seem to be many entries though. I guess everybody is keeping their trade secrets. Stingy.

i was thinking, more racing tips, like one guy in DIY talked about weight reduction, cause if ur racing, u need tricks, like when to launch at what rpm, and all, i might be talking stupid, but i think it would be useful? racing tips i guess i meant??

Oh Oh Oh!!! i got a tip.....dont race a car faster than yours!! lol just playin. I understand what you are saying though. Like different set ups that people have ran and the out come so we dont waste our money. One thing I have done to my civic that has been soo worth it is suspension and wheels...civics handle ok stock kinda.....but when i bought my wheels i just did it for looks mainly and they turned out being a lot better handling! here is a crappy pic of one of them.

Civics are actually great handling cars, especially hatches. the only better handling FWD car i could think of is ITR. Slap GC coilovers on and there you go. You will beat a lot of cars on AutoX course. As for engine performance mods, I came to the conclusion that the only way to get a real bang for the uck is to go FI. I mean, go to the scrap yard and find like a T25 turbine for $100 or so. Buy the rest of the stuff on ebay. Instead of wasting money on expensive bolt-ons, save up some money and piece together a turbo kit. Make the exhaust yourself - you can find all kinds of pipes and fittings at summit racing equipment. The things you will really need to buy for retail are a piggyback computer, intercooler, and perhaps some bigger injectors and a bigger fuel pump.

Another thing that I would recommend for racing is using the highest profile possible on your front wheels. This will improve your times greatly
