RE: halo headlights

The units are indeed apain to service. If the LEDs inside burn out (and you cannot return them) then they can be opened up by softening the sealant with a heat gun or oven and then prying them...

Hrmm.

I thought the initial movement of the cone (out or in) for a beat was a function of polarity... ...and that's why you need to flip the polarity in certain cases such as one of an isobaric...

RE: 97 civic front speaker wiring

Wait until you try to run aftermarket speaker wire into the doors. It's a nightmare [:'(] thanks to the door electric connector 'plugs' and the way the wire loom is run so far forward (close to the...

RE: Cutting the springs

Cutting the springs is doable and I have seen it done well on some cars but really it comes down to weighing the effort vs the costs of a set of legit drop springs.

You need to remove the...

RE: failed WOF on Suspension help??

LOL.

Yep I'll 2nd the endorsement for BP Blaster. That stuff seems clearly superior to WD-40, Liquid Wrench, etc.

Most all of my LCA/shock bolts were seized when I dropped my Civic. The...

RE: failed WOF on Suspension help??

I think the 1988-1995 rear control arms are pretty much the same (same part # for prothane bushings anyways). I can tell you about 96-00 rear bushings which in theory should be similar..

Rear...

RE: mounting amp

Trunk floor has always worked well for me. With a little woodwork you can stick a lot of stuff there and then build a false floor to cover it all so you don't lose much trunk space.

Here's a...

RE: Rear Driver Side Body Denting OUTWARD?

Well there isn't a whole lot of stuff in that area that is capable of doing that damage so I think you might be on the mark in terms of a busted weld, etc.

Usually protruding dents occur when...

RE: Turning light blinking rapidly

Usually a fast blink indicates a burnt bulb (one bulb will be out, the other on the same side of the car will blink faster). This occurs because the resistance in the blinker circuit changes when a...

RE: whats up..need some advice

200WHP (wheel HP) is attainable with a small turbo (Greddy, Edelbrock or homegrown) running about 10PSI. That amount of boost will most likely require an intercooler, good fuel management, and a...

RE: OIL change intervals

LOL. That sounds about like what I do too! I try to change up every 3K but sometimes the interval runs longer; I run synthetic so it's not such a big deal to go over by a bit.

A 3K change...

RE: What is wrong with this car????

The fronts and rears should be different enough by appearance to keep most anyone from screwing 'em up. If memory serves the rears are longer (longer coil) but a bit thinner (softer rate) so I think...

RE: tie vs. sway

A tie bar can be thought of as a 'bridge' that connects ('ties' together...hence the name) the mounting points for your suspension. In essence it is a chassis brace that braces the area where the...
