Hey guys i didnt know where to post this so i posted it here. Well I got a d16y8 motor with an auto tranny. I want to get a Mitsubishi Spec TD04H-19T Turbo Setup. Im worried for my tranny and someone on here said Level 10 is a good place for answers. Well i went there and i found a Shiftronic basicly is a plugin that makes you auto drive like a manual.Heres there site on this topic. http://http://www.levelten.com/store/import/items/electronic s/import_shiftronic.htm

Do you think this is a good buy?? It runs about 500.00. So What you think?? The main goal is to go turbo but save my trans.

well it will help as far as reducing shift time and lower your et's. however this kit will not strengthen your tranny. your main concern in the tranny will be overheating it as well as the clutch packs/bands. your best bet would be to run low boost and to not do any type of nuetral drops. the tranny build from level 10 runs about 1grand. it is possible to do a 5spd conversion for less than that. IMO it would be easier and stronger to upgrade to a 5spd.
