Default Head Gasket

I have to replace the head gasket on my CRX should I go ahead and take the head to the machine shop or should i just put the gasket on? I know this is a stupid question but i figured i would just ask.

yeah, you never know if there is a little warpage in the head and the new gasket might just blow, get it milled a little, even go a little extra and it will raise the compression. take off about .020-.030 inches, then you will want an adjustable cam gear because it throws off your cam timing. you will love the extra power. just be sure to run premium. you could see as much as 15-20 hp at the wheels with that.

i think around 75 bucks, but honestly, after you do that, you may not want a heavy ls motor. ive seen sohc vtecs with that done that were faster than SIs.

yeah i know, but you may still change your mind and the vtec one i saw could hang with SIs with a few bolt ons, while thats about all he had, it was mostly stock otherwise.
