Default civic ecu

Hey guys I think the mechanic found the problem. Do u guys think that a civic ecu goes bad frequently n what does that go for around? would it matter if I got 1 used from the junk yard? does it happen frequently? and would U guys think that it would be the cause of a car shutting off? thanks guys

Default RE: civic ecu

the ECU is a pretty big deal and can go bad from time to time... all it is is a small computer. VERY pricey if you need a new one, If it is the problem then I suggest that you look for one at a junkyard.
