Default Automatic transmission problems

Hi! I got a '89 1,5l civic with an automatic transmission. It runs well, and the gearing i perfect. BUT... I can't get it in to "p", park. There is no way that I can force it into "P".

Is there anything i can do about it myself, or must it be taken appart??

take the whole panel out where ur A.T is and you'll see like a lil metal pipe that moves when u move the stick to P, R, N, D and so on. and adjust the pimp with a 10mm open wrench if not then use plyers

Default RE: Automatic transmission problems

Hello all, newbie here and i am in need of some serious help. i have a honda civic 2001 EXi. AT and also have a serious shutdown problem with it. the vehicle has a tendency to shut off without warning after being driven for about 45 minutes. after the car shuts down it becomes very diffucult to restart and after a couple of minutes of trying to start it starts, drives a little more and then shuts off again. we continue this frustrating task until we reach our destination. i am asking for any possibe solution/suggestion to this problem and will be greatly apprecdiated just e- mail me at saddeghmcpherson@hotmail.com. Thanks a million
