Default EX Mini Me Swap

Ok I'm just getting ready to purchase on Ex head and intake manifold, etc. My question is will the same distributor I have on a 97 HX work with the new head, and here's the kicker, I have a msd cap, ignition, and external coil on my HX already so shouldnt I be able to leave all the msd and the HX distributor the same since my ignition and coil aren't stock anyway?

oohh, good question. i believe it will work. the only thing thats different with most honda distributors is the bolt pattern. if it doesnt work, then all of your goodies should go right on the ex dizzy. and the mini me is putting an ex or sohc si head on a lesser engine to enjoy the wonders of vtec performance.
