Default Turbo question

Hey I was just wondering what the best way to turbo my civic? By that I mean is it worth it to save up and buy some kit or would it be possible to save money by piecing it together?

Default RE: Turbo question

I like the greddy kit for the 92-92 ex. But I've got an LX. Does anybody know why this kit would only be for the ex when I see other kits out there that are for the 92-00 sohc? What makes it so different? I would get that kit if I could.

I'm not sure if that would be it. I was under the impression that a manifold from a D16 could fit on any D-series motor. Just like when I purchased my header.....it was to fit any 88-00 D-series. So I just assumed that the manifolds were similar. I dunno though.

I believe the only difference comes down to where the O2 Sensor is located. Some are up close to the engine and others are down under the engine.

So I still don't see why the greddy turbo kit couldn't fit on a D15 instead of the D16.....cause if the O2 bung is in a different spot that really isn't a big deal. That can be easily fixed.
