from what my reading skills are, i believe the only thing that will give you a sound is an exchaust and i think Greddy is your best bet

You don't need 2 bypass valves for your intake. I don't have one on my AEM intake, and it is sometimes loud enough to sound like an exhaust. Try running without a bypass valve and see if that makes a difference.

exactly, it all depends on the rpms, the higher they go the more noise you're gonna get, keep in mind this isnt an exhaust you arent gonna be making THAT much noise, if you want the sound go for a catback, greddy, magnaflow, apexi, etc., thats where you will fill your desire for that mean sound

I took this video a while back because I always wanted to see what my feet looked like while I was driving (don't ask why...), and in this clip you can hear the intake quite clearly because I was on a straightaway. I was shifting at around 5500 rpm I think and I got up to about 60 before I broke off.

Video

Instructions: Right-click on above link and hit copy, open Windows Media, hit Ctrl U, hit Ctrl V, hit Enter.

Edit: That's a completely stock D16Y8 with only the intake.
