Enclosing the spare tire well properly takes a hell of a lot longer than I thought it would. I got the amps clearanced out new for $71 each. Supposedly they are made by Rockford Fosgate so I figured they would be good.

Stereo: JVC KDLH-910 (Reads SD cards,Nice!)
Amps: 2 lightning audio B2.300.4 1 is running the Full ranges in each corner, the other is bridged into 2 channel running the subs.
Speakers: 2 Explod 6.5" in doors
2 Explod 6x9" in deck
2 Kicker Comp 10"
1.2 Farad capacitor with 100 amp breaker under the hood. Bass is hitting waaayy harder than I expected and actually had to turn down the gain.
I want to add some tweets up front and get the Kickpanel mounts because those door locations sound like ass.

I would get these grills, http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...number=260-428 . They will make it look like they are stock , kinda. But they are low profile and look good!

I am wanting to do this. Do you have any pics of the underside of it or while you were doing it? Maybe just send me the dimensions or something. Did you line the well? How did you seal it off?

I need to get pics of my new setup I did. I got kinda bored and wanted something new and also better looking and space saving set up. I killed the kicker I had and got my ole trusty JBL GT Sub. I mainly wanted to do it at extrme low budget to see if it could be done. So, that being said. I went to wally world, got a rockin roadmaster tube sub (lol, master my ass). Sold the rock poundin roadmaster sub itself for the same I bought it for to a pawn shop . Then I proceeded to cut the tube in half. Reinforced it with thin bendable i braketing on the inside, sprayed hard damping material in it. And threw in an ass-ton of poly fill. I twisted my 14ga wiring in there (with a power drill). I filled the old holes with a marine sealant. THen threw the JBL sub in and screwed it in to new screw locations. Then I strapped it down with L and T brackets. The amp was mounted on the side of the trunk out of the way. I used aluminum plates mounted to the body framing so the amp could sit on a flat surface. The sub sits a little in front of the amp right in the little alcove to the right tail light. It BARELY clears the trunk arm. But it actually sounds really good. But the setup would be really difficult for a snatch and grab (most thieves and dont have time for unscrewing and unbolting) theif to rip me off... pretty much impossible.

I wish I had some but I was trying to get done and didnt think of it. I ended up making 3 pieces of wood. a front wall, rear wall and the top.

Top is 28" wide x 37"Long. I made the front wall because the front slants away and wouldnt be even to form a seal and the back wall is because the rear of the trunk has got those damn ribs on the vertical wall. I left a space up at the front of the well about 28"x8"x6" so I can put tools and jumper cables under there. Its the front part of the trunk where the carpet is sagging down. I need to make a fiberboard support so it lays flat.
I took some more shots so yo ucan see the box better. I dynamatted the whole well first, then used weatherstripping followed by caulking all the seams then spray-on rubberized undercoating on top of that. may be overkill but I wanted it sealed tight. I also hammered flat all the uneven ridges and such in the well to gain a few more inches of air.
I didnt fiberglass it like was suggested because i am too lazy and its too messy.

I am a big fan of "hard to steal" installs. I tried to make mine stealth instead of showy. I am making a fake wall to cover the amps so trunk will look clean.

Lets see:
Top side is 28" (side to side) x 37" (front to rear).
2 vertical Walls are about 6" high but make them out of cardboard to get all the curves and bumps right. Not much to it really. I sheet of 4'x4' 3/4" MDF is plenty for the project. Any other questions, let me know.
