Swapping engines isnt the only way to modify your car to go faster,it's one of the more expensive ways to do it. If you wanted an S2K engine you'd have to do a tranny swap too RWD you'd be better off spending the money on buying a new civic and mod the hell out of that one.

its a bad ass motor, but its big for a civic engine bay, and if you go SC, you need to cut into the shock tower for clearance, and if you go turbo, there is no way in hell you can keep things like AC and power steering. honestly, youd be happier with a b18c1 and a used greddy turbo kit. more expensive at first, but easier to work on, and better potential. the H22 is a good motor, but its not as sturdy as a B18c.

Go with an h22. Its gunna take a helluva lot of work, including everything from wiring to new axles. If you want to save your A/C, be prepared to find a shop who will custom make you a bracket that fits. Depending on your civic, supercharging might not be an option. For me, I would have to cut through my strut tower. An h22 can handle a 100 shot with colder sparkplugs and a small amount of fuel delivery, so I would recommend nitrous. After that, happy running mid-low 13's =)
