Default Newbie from uk - looking for help

I've just joined to see if anyone can give me a bit of help on how to get more power out of my engine, my car is a 1.6 esi uk civic sallon, engine not had any mods YET, I'm going to get a simota air filter for it, but if anyone knows how to get a good increase on a small budget it would be a great help.

Cheers

cold air does just that, taking colder air from outside the engine bay, the colder the air the more horsepower the engine can produce. To get the cold air portion you will need a special intake pipe that moves the filter away from the engine.

colder air will give you more power than a regular filter.
