Default Confirmed, umm... Draw??

So I go outside today to clean up the Super D to take a couple more pics for my gallery, but my FMU came in yesterday and I wanted to get in on there first. Go before Show, you know? Relatively simple install, but I swear on all things Honda that squeeze clamps are the bane of my existence. What should have taken 10 minutes turned into 20 because I was fighting with the stupid clamps. Anyway, I get it on and the added fuel pressure was too much for the idiot clamps and there was ever so small of a leak, so off to the parts store I go for worm clamps all around.

Ahead of me there was a del Sol, some sort of Greedy exhaust and obviously some suspension work done. I pull up next to him just to give him the obligatory head bob, “What’s up?” and the guy looks kinda familiar. He points at me and says, “Hey, Man. What’s up?”

I say, “You got a ‘B’ in there?”
“Yeah, just got it back from the tune this week.”
“Sweet. I’m rockin’ the ‘D’. What else you have done?”
The light turns green and we both start a slow roll.
“All kinds of crap. Head work, forged pistons, titanium this, port and polished that…”
As soon as he finished his sentence and turned his head straight he stomped on it. I am assuming he was trying to show it off, but I hit it at the same time and he wasn’t going anywhere. We couldn’t have been more even if we were staged at the track (which is where we should have been doing this). I hit 2nd and my clutch slips a little, I lose a bumper but get it right back, and it looked like I wasn’t gonna stop at his bumper either when we had to get off of it.

I turn into the parking lot of the parts store and he turns in too.
I tell him, “Man, that thing’ll run won’t it?” Talking about his car.
“Yeah… You said you have a “D” in there?”
“Uh huh.” Hee, hee. I am loving this, my ricer exhaust is so loud that you can’t hear the SC whine. “Pop your hood. Lemme see what you got under there.”
He pops the hood and I swear angel song and a bright light came out from under there.
I see: AEM CAI, DC 4-2-1, Adj. FPR and gauge, all braided lines, carbon fiber hood, strut tower brace, and a bunch of dress-up.
He tells me: Greedy cat-back, forged pistons, port and polished head with titanium everything, 4 something or other clutch and a Skunk2 short shifter, Hondata s300 and a pro tune. Holy crap. He’s even got a scuba sized ZEX bottle in the trunk that he isn’t using at the moment.

EDIT: I forgot... he also told me it was bored out 20 over.

Me: Super D, ghetto tune, and YooHoo. Man, I love my car.

Turns out that I do know him. We played golf one weekend when I used to work at the course. He is a friend of my brother in-law-in-law. I told him I was having a hell of a time getting my gauge pod flush, so he gave me a new carbon fiber one that he wasn’t using. Karma kicks butt. That now makes 1 tuner locally that I know.

I realize it’s a long story, but I got a kick out of it. We’ll call it a draw for the Sniper, but a victory for the D’s.

Rock the D.

What?

Why would I make that up? Unless he was lying about his internals and the tune thinking I wouldn't know what he was talking about.
