Default I'm torn.

I can't decide between the Edelbrock kit and the Turbonetics kit. The Turbonetics kit runs 8 psi and puts out around 200hp while the Edelbrock kit only puts out around 170hp. I can get the Turbonetics kit for cheaper than the Edelbrock kit, but I really can't decide. Here are some specs:

Turbonetics:

-T3/T4 Hybrid Ceramic Ball Bearing Turbocharger
-Spearco Intercooler System
-Powder-Coated Intercooler Piping
-Silicone Hose / T-Bolt Clamps
-Exhaust Manifold - high carbon cast-steel with ceramic coating
-Fuel / Timing Controller (electronic fuel / timing management system)
-Fuel Injectors
-'Evolution' Wastegate Assembly
-'Raptor' By Pass / Blow Off Valve Assembly
-Mandrel-bent ceramic coated Downpipe with closed-loop wastegate discharge
-Intake System with Air Filter
-All necessary Hardware, Hoses, and Fittings
-Free Case of Turbonetics TS-1 Synthetic Motor Oil

It's got 2 extra fuel injectors with a fuel injector controller and a MSD boost timing master. Comes with external wastegate.

Edelbrock:

-Garrett T28 ball bearing Turbo preassembled with exhaust manifold and elbow, including coolant and oil lines
-Performer X manifold preassembled with secondary fuel rail and four additional injectors
-State-of-the-art electronics to control boosted fuel and timing
-Preassembled Russell fuel and oil lines with adapters
-Large Spearco intercooler with TIG welded cast aluminum end tanks
-Tial blow-off valve
-Edelbrock boost gauge by Auto Meter with A-pillar mount pod
-Ceramic coated Turbo piping and high flow air filter
-All gaskets, adapters and instructions
-O-ring sealed compressor inlet/outlet pipe flanges

Has 4 extra injectors instead of 2, has internal wastegate, comes with boost gauge, 50 state legal.

Basically it comes down to which is better: The T28 or the T3/T4.

I'm sort of leaning towards Turbonetics because I can get it for $2900 and I get more power with it.

From what I read, they both look like they come with comparable stuff, so IMO, I would go for the Turbonetics kit and save some cash. Turbonetics is a fairly well known brand now, and I find you pay a lot more just for the Edelbrock name.

Ok, I'm going with the turbonetics kit, and I'm going to use the extra money I save to buy a turbo timer, possibly a boost gauge, and possibly the greddy emanage.

Well lots of other people I have talked to said the Edelbrock kit was awesome, and I'm not too worried about how much power I'll be getting right now. I'll be adjusting that a little further down the road...

I take it that you don't live in an area with emissions testing. A lot of people go with the Edelbrock for that reason alone. I know the guy who designed the intake manifold for that kit and have heard nothing but good things about it. The largest difference between the two is that the Edelbrock comes with the Link Management System, which can be tuned whereas the Turbonetics has a sub-injector controller (2 additional injectors). Both turbos are of high quality, but the Edelbrock will work much better with the larger manifold included in their kit.

Also, the last time I looked the Turbonetics kit was about the same price as the Edelbrock.
