Default RE: Question

My car is only going to be for show I am getting another civic on the 30th for $500 from a police auction that I am going to have for racing. I am thinking of getting some 19's chrome for my civic now because I took off my body kit and cracked 2 of my racing rims this past weekend. This is what my car did look like until sunday. I am still advertising HCF on my car though in South carolina. I don't think this forum even has any one from SC in it.

19's might be pushing it, 18s are probably the best if you want to make it that way. If you plan on making it a racing car I would highly discourage 19s... any real car enthusiest (sp?) would laugh at you if you tried seriously racing with those huge things.

like 2000si said... for racing stick with 15s or 16s
17s for a little more show but still a decent racing size
18's and up... keep your ride all show no go, because thats what you will get with those bricks under your wheel wells.

as for the 205/40's, that depends on your stock wheel/tire setup. You should keep the overall diameter as close to stock as possible. 205 is how wide the tire is and 40 is the sidewall percentage of the width (205).

My car can run 205/40's almost perfect with 17's so thats probably the answer your looking for.

with 19s, you need probably 30 or even 25 series tires. but id suggest not going over 17 or 18s. you can fit them, but then you have a hard time turning. mine hit when my car is lowered about 2.5 inches, and they are 195/50/15s, so i know it will be worse with 18s or 19s.

People who ask a question and then proceed to give us more information that would have been nice to know in the first place?

Settle down there cracker, you don't know my attitude, so there's no way you can like it or not. [8D]
