Default PICS B18c1 hydrolocked WORKS??????!!

People, I was wondering, since my B18c1 block here has been hydrolocked and one of the rods has shot a hole in my block will it still work with the weld? And also there are those two dents there on my cylinder is that repairable and if so how well will this all hold up and is it worth it? Thanks guys.</P>

if you must keep this block, i say resleeve it. have a machine shop check for any other damage unoticable to the naked eye. best way to go though is a new block.

how much are you planning on building this thing up? If you ever plan on going forced induction then you should seriously consider a new block. you dont want to build up this motor just to have it blow on you again andpotentially damage other things. although it may cost a little now im sure it will save you cash in the long run.

if thats all you are plannin you might be ok but are you really gonna stop at just that? once you get that under your hood are you gonna crave more? just a couple of things to think about before you take on a project like this. you can waste alot of money if you have to go back and do things you should have just taken care of from the beginning.
