is it just me, or does it seem like car theft occurences are going up? i've read so many posts on forums this past month, including this one, of people having their car stolen. my sister and cousin both had their cars stolen this year. it just sucks that you can't own anything nice because someone else will decide they want...and will take it...from you.
its because the police are too worried about the mythical "war on drugs"...and worried about busting people with tinted windows and exhaust systems...instead of being worried about actual crime...like cars being stolen.

it's sick, but you're 100% dead on. i had my civic parked in front of my sister's house for two hours one day. i had just put the 5% tint on the windows, so i kept the temp tag in the front windshield. well, i happened to notice a community officer parked in the street. we went out there and he was going to write a ticket for me not having the tag in a visible place, and then he proceeded to tell me i had to remove the tint because it was too dark. funny, where was this butthole the morning my sister's integra was stolen? oh yeah, he was at the donut shop talking about how he busts people for dark window tint.
Not to make light of the situation but man, i hate that feeling when you don't see your car where you last parked it. I thought I had mine stolen when I checked in at the police precinct. They had towed it away because it was parked in the wrong spot. I was so happy that it wasn't stolen.
