Default new orleans

i'm really just beside myself about what's happening in new orleans. i went there a couple years ago during new year's and i fell in love with the city. it was dirty and humid, but i loved it. but i think something like this was inevitable...the city's below sea-level, and levees and pumps were keeping tons of water out from the lake.

does anyone know how many hcf-er's are from there? i'm doubting they'll be able to read any of this, since it's estimated to take 2 months to restore power and maybe 6 months to remove all the water. i can't even begin to imagine what is like down there. i just hope that if anyone who reads this has family living down there, that they are safe and can pick up their lives again.

now that i'm thoroughly bummed out, i'm going to go drive around and enjoy the $3.00/gal gas i have in my car. [8D]

Default RE: new orleans

Yeah, we were talking about it over here, kind of... ElFreaky and Street Sniper are both from the area. I think they've both logged in since then, though.
