Default comfused about intakes

just a quick question:
is there a difference between an intake meant for a M/T and A/T tranny?
like i see civic AEM intakes that are made for M/T's...if i do install them on a A/T what would happen?
what's the difference then?

they wont really fit. i tried to find a way to make it work and it wouldnt have worked w/o some major fabing. so i just made it into a ram air opposed to a cai

One word...AEM V2 total rocks...and it fit on my 01 Civic LX with Automatic Tran.
