RE: '99 swap d16y7 head with a y8

I already had that. I just meant something to tell us what the differences between the setups were.

RE: Nissan Motor Company

I'm really getting sick of people like this who instantly go back to the "lets see what starts breaking" You don't have any idea the amount of engineering that went into putting that motor together...

RE: Advancing the Timing

yes I know that sac. adjusting the cam timing will give you gains, and it's easier to do than ****ing with your distributor.

RE: Advancing the Timing

There should be a little light blue/white connector. Open up your passenger door, get on the floor face up and look for a blue connector with either 2 or three wires hooked to it. Mine has three...

RE: Headers?

If you buy a header and then turbo your car you're going to have to replace the header with a header that fits directly onto the turbo... so it'd be a waste of money, not necessarily cheaper.

RE: '99 swap d16y7 head with a y8

you can use any 96-00 EX head, its the d16y8 head you need that has sohc vtec. I'm not sure if the y7 blocked is tapped for oil passages to the head since it's non-vtec either.

RE: Strut bars, are they useful?

RE: liscence plate lights

Thats correct. all US cars are supposed to have white plate lights, it's illegal to have any other color, or no lights at all.

RE: ebay racing mod chip

Seriously, if power was that cheap do you think it'd be on EBAY instead of being sold by a legitimate business?

RE: Fascia removal to get to dials, HOW

The red/orange color in your dash and climate controls aren't orange because of the bulbs, they're orange because of the orange plastic film on the gauges/dials themselves.
