I've read that stock shocks will wear out within 3-5 months after putting on drop springs (this is on average). Since I will only be using the car as a daily driver, should I not get adjustable...

Yeah gas prices now are outrageous. Where I live it's not so bad compared to national prices but paying upwards of $1.70 for regualar grade is uncalled for.
