The best way to judge car audio is you usally get what you pay for.

I am a huge Pioneer fan, mostly decks and highs.

I can't knock Sony...I've had the same deck for about 5 years now...still sounds good...

I have to disagree with Volfenhag. I had 2 12's and a Volfenhag 1200 watt amp. They hit harder than any system that I ever had and I have had plenty of systems. I am a huge fan now. I sold a pair of 12 inch Kicker CompVR's for those. I don't know about their mids and highs, but their amps and subs are ok in my book.

I just put in a new Sony deck and it looks perfect in my car, along with Infiniti everything. The quality is better than anything I have had so far, better than my last Alpine. If it does not withstand the test of time, it's cheap enough to change out without a huge expense.

id have to say my worst experience with audio was my rockford fosgate punch stage 1s... they sucked balls balls balls.... and the circut city house brand (edit: Verge company)amp... dont remember the company...but lets just say...before i totaled my car..and the amp came flying up in to the post between the passengerside doors... i was running on my 4th amp... cause they sucked balls balls balls...

although best i have seen soo far in a small car...power acoustic entry level 12 inch subs hooked up to a lightning audio amp and capac... it sounded decent..and still could understand the music from the front speakers with ur ear drums rattling
