ok i have a hi-flow cat and when im driving down the road w/ my foot even on the gas, it will cut back, like it is restricting something (losing about 3-5mph in the process), and then it will stop, and i will get a boost (about 3-5mph) this also use to happen w/ the test pipe i was running, but not as often
i think it may be the 02 sensor, but i'm not sure, anyone else have this problem?
my keen dtective abilities tells me that his car is a 99 and a manual. how do i know you ask? simple watson, in his signature it says "99 Honda civic HX" and it also says "JDM short throw (still to install)"
but i still say just spend a few bucks on an o2 sensor
yeh im not putting it in i heard that the aluminum snap w/ in less than a month, why would it matter if it cant detect the 02
the reason your car is running bad is cause it has no idea how much fuel it needs to run right. the o2 sensor tells it how much unburnt oxygen is in your exhaust and adjusts the fuel amount. if you trick your car into thinking it has the right amount but it really doesnt then you could cause some serious problems
