a civic can be fast with proper modifications

so can a metro

but let's not start a big arguement over this.

If you dont want an argument, don't call civics slow on a civic forum... just a little piece of advice

i guess we all have different opinions of what fast is. my whole family is into muscle cars and old school rods, so i've been around fast cars my whole life. my dad as a modded '00 camaro ss(runs 11s in the 1/4 all motor) and a rat rod. both of those are what i consider fast. not something that runs 13s in the 1/4.

sure you can go out and buy a used civic for $5,000 and drop $5,000 into the engine and make it run 13s or whatever.

In that case maybe you should buy you a V8 stlye car. Or better yet get you that metro and put the V8 in it.

Well, she's interested in a honda and what makes this forum HCF great is that we'll help if she needs it. Maybe when she gets it, she'll want to mod it cause she'll realize it's so much fun. Until then, we agree, Honda Civic are great reliable cars.

Well, what we are trying to say is that Hondas are great reliable cars that last. However, I must point out that a Civic can be built to outrun and outperform alot of cars out there.

Yes, any car can be fast with enough money but only Honda's can be modified and still last 100,000 miles or more without breaking down on you.

You have give reasons to choose a Honda but know this, Honda's can be built to run faster and perform better than most cars out there with a reliability that is second to none. So if you want a reliable car that is fast, buy a Honda and mod the hell of it and watch it last longer than any other car.

indeed. muscle cars are fast, but only until something decides to stop working. they don't run very fast 1/4 mile races when they are on blocks. even though this is a different car, my sister's stock integra took out numerous camaros and mustangs. she had the dohc vtec, but it was still a 4 cylinder vs. 6 and 8 cylinder muscle cars.

Well, not that many people here are very interested in 1320 times. Sure, going fast and straight is cool, for a while, but it gets pretty boring. Tell daddy to put his slowmaro up against a well tuned civic in the twisties, then we'll see who reins supreme.

a civic isn't much to insure and its good on gas. me and my dad already talked about in a couple of years him buying me a old muscle and help me fix it up. hopefully a '55 bel air. ill still keep the civic as my daily driver
