Which dash kit allows you to retain the stock open bin pocket beneath the factory radio? Crutchfield has a kit that replaces it, which is not what I'm looking for.

I've got the exactly same dilemma myself but I've identified the correct Metra kit that will apparently allow for the keeping of the OEM pocket with door which is the Metra 99-7897 and NOT the Metra 99-7899. The only problem I have now is I found one review stating that the kit did not fittheAlpine 9883receiver, I don't know if this is true or not, if anyone here has installed this head unit with this kit on a01-05 civic then please let us know. Also,is there any other choice for an installation kitbesides the Metra kit that will retain theOEMpocket?
