1999 civic door speaker question
I have a question about the right and left door speakers in my 99 civic ex. I got new speakers and took the stock ones out, i got 2 6.5" nitro speakers that are a combined 500 watts. I got these things brand new off of ebay and they are pretty nice. I usually dont skimp on stuff for my car but i didnt care because i got 2 6x9 alpines in the back and 3 alpine 10s in my trunk. I just wanted alittle extra for the front.
I know that on the stock speakers just unplug but can someone please tell me how to install these? They dont plug into the grey plugs. This is a pic of the speakers and the back, someone please help me out! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=5787357069 Thanks ill really appreciate it if someone can tell me what i need to hook these up with. |
RE: 1999 civic door speaker question
I had to cut the grey plug off, you should then have 4 wires, twist the same colored ones together, and slide the wires through the little chrome holes on the side of the speaker, make sure they work like u want then screw them in. (new door speakers really set off your system, I just put mine in).

RE: 1999 civic door speaker question
Just an FYI, Front sound is way more important then the rear 6X9s. If you ever go to a SQ competition and ask the pros what they are running they will more then likely tell you subs. Most guys dont run rears.
