2005 SE
i have a 2005 civic SE.. i love the head units look.. and it sounds great.. its just i want it to hit a little harder... the bass that is... (my friend has a JVC head unit and some rear sony explode speakers wit some stocks in the front and they hit hard enough for me) so something like that... so should i go get some differnet speakers? will my hear unit provide enough power?... or! should i just add a amp an a sub... ? and I am NOT changing my head unit
i'm in the same boat as you i like the head unit also. i am changing all the inside speakers and adding a 800 amp and 2 10's. the amp is only puching the subs and i'm getting the components for the front so i can separate the sound my boy just did this and it sounds awesome
yeah, i just got a 2005 SE as well
I want a little more oomph when it comes to some bass, was most likely going to replace the 6x9s in the back first. Im pretty sure anything after market will be better than the stock speakers. Im just not totally sure what brand to go with for that. In my old explorer I had sub, and the doors were all mid range and highs....6x8 pioneers, 3 ways in front 2 doors, 2 ways in back 2 doors. I was really happy with that though, but Im not jumping to install subs too quick in my civic.
If yall have any suggested 6x9s that extra range of sound I want lemme know

Infinity BassLink maybe??
Infinty Basslink
or for a little less you should be able to get a 8" Bazooka amplified subwoofer tube for around $150-175.00
That'll give you a little more bump. [sm=icon_rock.gif]

so should i change speakers to get a little more bass?... or just leave the inside stock and get an amp and a sub .... u cahnged ur inside speakers?... does it sound really good?... even wit the head unit since its not aftermarket
Just add on to your factory system. You can upgrade factory speakers too if you like. If you are not building a system this is an option for a little more bass.

Oh, and to answer your other question, I had an amplified subwoofer tube in my old hatch. It was okay with the weak @$$ factory head unit that came in 91's. Certainly eliminated the "Treble without a Cause" sound I had before.
It's not as good as a full system. Doesn't need to be. Just fills in the sound a little better

oh wow... so i stay stock inside... get an ampplified woofer.. and it should add a little more bass to my system?... also... will I be able to adjust how much bass i want to come out.. like if its too much turn the bass down on the amped woofer?
I know the Bazookas have a remote amp gain control. I think they are $25.00 or so.
EDIT: Infinity does too! Infinity Link
Yes! you can stay completely stock and still have a sub. It's great if you are leasing a car or like you just really like the factory set up.
